Sarasota, Florida -- An audiologist is under arrest for selling patients what they thought were new hearing aids, when he was recycling used ones in a warranty scheme.Dr. Stephen Goff, 62, of North Port, is charged with one count of scheme to defraud. He was booked into the county jail, and was released on $1,500 bond.According to investigators, from January to May 2013 a patient would buy a hearing aid from Goff who would take the warranty and file a loss and damage report.
