Terms and Conditions

By placing an order from us online or via the telephone you agree to the terms and conditions laid out on this page.

No Medical Exam Needed to Purchase Hearing Aids
While we encourage a proper relationship between you and a medical professional, you do not need a medical exam to purchase a hearing aid from us. The FDA grants you the right to waive a medical exam. The following paragraph is the statement that the FDA requires that you agree to before purchasing hearing aids online.

Waiver to Medical Evaluation Requirements: This is to inform you that the Food and Drug Administration has determined that it is in your best health interest to obtain a medical evaluation by a licensed physician, who specializes in diseases of the ear; then to be tested by an audiologist, or hearing aid dispenser utilizing established procedures and instrumentation in the fitting of hearing instruments. Note: Ordering a hearing instrument from this Website constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of this Waiver to Medical Evaluation Requirements.

90 Day In Home Trial Period
CenturyHearingAids.com stands by its hearing aids and we know how important it is to get used to wearing hearing aids before making your final decision. That is why we offer all of our customers a 90 day in home trial period with no hidden fees! Read on for full details.

New Sounds Take Time to Get Reacquainted With
You will begin to hear sounds you have not heard in a long time when you start wearing hearing aids. Chances are, that you didn’t lose your hearing overnight. It most likely developed gradually, over a long period of time. Now that you are wearing hearing aids, it will most certainly take time to become reaquainted with the wonderful world of sound. Keep in mind that there are also harsh noises to which you have grown unaccustomed. Perhaps you had no idea that your refrigerator was making that horrible squealing noise! Soon, you will become once again accustomed to the sounds you’ve been missing.

Allow Time to Break in Your New Hearing Aids
Just like a new pair of shoes, your hearing aids need to be broken in. Also, your ear needs a chance to get used to having a new partner. You should wear your new hearing aids for short periods of time in the beginning. There may be a slight tenderness in your ear, or days when you feel overwhelmed with the new sounds that you are hearing. This is perfectly normal and should end as you become more accustomed to wearing your new hearing aids. The key is to remove your hearing aid for a while when you become uncomfortable.

Direct from Manufacturer
Hearing aids are sent to us direct from the manufacturer after you place your order. As soon as they reach our offices, we in turn ship the product to you. Direct from the manufacturer means no middle man. You pay less and your product is handled by less people along the way.

Return Terms and Conditions

  • Hearing aids returns for credit are accepted within 90 days of purchase only. They must be received within the 90 days. Any hearing aids returned after 90 days are not accepted or in some special cases charged a 25% restocking fee.
  • Returns must be undamaged or abused. Damaged hearing aids will not be accepted as returns. We recommend insuring your returns, as we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged shipments. It is our policy not to accept returns deemed damaged by the currier.
  • Credits are issued from within 7 to 15 business days of receipt of the returned merchandise, depending on the order in which they are received. It can take a full billing cycle for that credit to appear on your credit card statement. These times may vary as we do not know how long your bank will take to post the credit to your account. Information on credits and returns being received and processed is available by a e-mail request to support@CenturyHearingAids.com – Telephone operators do not have access to this information.
  • We do encourage you to let us know of any concerns you have with your aids before sending them back. It may be something as simple as cleaning the wax from them, adjusting the volume, etc.

Your hearing aid is covered by a manufacturers warranty. The warranty provider will replace or repair any failures or defective units within the warranty period from the original date of purchase.

Definitions of Chargeback: A chargeback is the return of funds to a consumer, forcibly initiated by the consumer’s issuing bank. Specifically, it is the reversal of a prior outbound transfer of funds from a consumer’s bank account, line of credit, or credit card. Please see this website for more information about what a chargeback is: ChargeBack and here Visa ChargeBacks

A CHARGE BACK INVESTIGATION CAN TAKE ANYWHERE FROM ONE TO SIX MONTHS TO RESOLVE!

Fraudulent Credit Card Transaction and Chargeback Policy
It is sad that we have to put this section into this agreement, but the fact is that many people that make purchases on the Internet do so with the intent to defraud the merchant. CenturyHearingAids.com takes credit card fraud very seriously and that is why we have added this section.

A chargeback is when you call your credit card company or bank and tell them to reverse the charges paid to a merchant. CenturyHearingAids.com has an iron clad return policy. As stated above, you have 90 days to return the merchandise for a refund. Simply follow the return policy and you will receive your refund as promised. Filing a chargeback is not an acceptable method of getting your refund. Filing a chargeback after receiving merchandise is fraud and we will prosecute anybody that attempts or commits fraud against us.

If you place a chargeback with your credit card company (on purpose or by mistake) for any order that you placed and received, there will be a $150.00 research fee charged to your account upon receiving the chargeback by our merchant provider to cover our investigative expenses to prove that you did make the purchase. By filing a chargeback you are also voluntarily revoking your right to return the products that have been sent to you

CenturyHearingAids.com does not tolerate credit card fraud, and all fraud, without exception, will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. In addition, we will pursue civil legal action seeking any loss of income related to the fraud, including business, legal fees, research costs, employee down time and loss of revenues.

CenturyHearingAids.com considers credit card charge backs to be fraud if you have made no reasonable effort to work with us to resolve any problems with your purchase. All frivolous chargebacks not only cost our employees time away from our usual and customary matters of conducting normal business, but cost us money, therefore:

You agree that if you, the buyer, choose to do business with CenturyHearingAids.com, and you file a charge back with your credit card company, and you do not win the charge back argument, you agree to pay us $150 for our time responding to the matter plus any owed restock fees, programming fees, or other service fees that you have agreed to. You, the buyer authorize us to charge this amount to your credit card. If this charge is rejected (or chargedback again), CenturyHearingAids.com will pursue legal action to recoup losses for our time associated with responding to the charge back in addition to any other fees explained above. You agree to reimburse us or any representative we may appoint for any legal expenses your actions may make us incur. We take fraud seriously. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The waiver of a breach hereunder does not waive any other or subsequent breach.

If you file a chargeback prior to returning merchandise and there are outstanding fees due to us (restock fee, programming fee, or other agreed upon fees), your merchandise will not be accepted by us. We will either not sign for it (if signature is required) or will mark it return to sender.

In the event that you win the charge back with your credit card company, and have not returned our goods, CenturyHearingAids.com will attempt to recover fraudulently disputed charges plus all other fees owed to us and additional costs via a third-party collection agency and your account will be reported to all credit bureaus as a delinquent collection account. This may severely damage your credit rating for at least the next seven (7) years. At this point, we will no longer accept a return of the merchandise as settlement for the debt and will only accept payment in full. In addition to this, CenturyHearingAids.com will file a report with your local police or sheriff’s department, and file a mail fraud complaint with the United States Postal Inspection Service.

Delivery time of your merchandise varies. All orders that are placed by customers prompt us to place an order with the manufacturer and are custom made. In most cases your order will be delivered within seven business days, however depending on the availability of inventory (and the method of delivery that you chose at checkout) this delivery time may be delayed up to thirty business days. Filing a chargeback within this timeframe is not acceptable and doing so will result in the penalties listed within these terms and conditions. If you wish to cancel an order prior to receiving it, you must email us and let us know in writing. You are alerted the next business day via email (if provided) when orders are shipped. Tracking information is also included in that email. If we have already shipped your order and you want to cancel, then the return policy stated above is in effect.

Note: The customer must attempt to return any and all merchandise to CenturyHearingAids.com before attempting a chargeback. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Loss and Damage Insurance
Damage warranty covers a one time replacement of the hearing aid if it is lost or damaged beyond repair

Stolen Credit Card Purchases
We log IP strings on all orders – any orders coming back as a chargeback due to fraudulent activities will be diligently pursued through your local jurisdiction for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
